BY SIMON NDIVE KALLA

Young Cameroonian author Abiyah Brandon Ajame has launched his debut book titled "Spiritual Data” urging believers to be intentional about tracking their spiritual growth.

The launch ceremony was held on Thursday, August 13, 2026 at the former Presbyterian Church, Sappa Road, Limbe.

The inspiration behind the book

Speaking at the event, Brandon said the title was inspired by how society relies on data for business, health, and relationships, yet rarely tracks the spiritual life.

The book reviewer, Rev. Samuel Njie, described the book as balanced. "Brandon doesn’t make faith mechanical. He shows that God is relational, but He also honors wisdom and order. The chapter on 'Interpreting Your Spiritual Data' was powerful," Rev. Njie said. The Chief Launcher,

Engineer Kimbi Hans, applauded the author who is also an engineer. "As an engineer, I appreciate systems. What Ajame has done is take biblical principles and give us a framework to track growth. We cannot manage what we do not measure. This book helps believers move from random devotion to strategic growth," Engr. Hans said.

About the book preface

"Spiritual Data" explores pertinent aspects of the believer’s experience with the Spirit of God, including energy, frequency, auras, spiritual smells, sound, light and darkness, visions, hearing, body signals, and rain.

The book provides insight on how to gain awareness of both physical and spiritual beings and how they interact. In the preface, the writer noted: "I initially found the subject quite daunting. But reviewing and editing this book has been a very enriching experience. It has helped enlighten me on my own spiritual walk with God."

The preface further commended Brandon: "Abiyah Brandon is a brilliant young man who has articulated his spiritual experiences so nicely, while making apt biblical references. I commend him laudably for scripting this topic so eloquently."

About the author

Abiyah Brandon Ajame is a high school graduate from Cameroon who has lived in Yaoundé for the past three years. He said his journey began on Saturday, June 8, 2024, after a conversation with a sister in Christ who encouraged him to write about his mastery of spiritual matters.

"From my early twenties, I was shown several things from the realm of the spirit with the help of the Holy Spirit," Brandon said.

His mother, Madam Ajame Gladys, expressed joy at her son’s achievement. "He has put a smile on my face because these days youths have gone into drugs, but he has decided to invest his time in writing," she said.
