Limbe I Mayor Mbwaye Eposi crowned best female Mayor for 2026 in Cameroon

The Mayor for Limbe I Council, Mme Mbwaye Eposi Florence has been crowned “Cameroon's Best Female Mayor of the Year" at the 2026 International Golden Star Awards.
The award honour and recognizes Mayor Mbwaye’s outstanding leadership, commitment to service delivery, and contribution to local governance and community development in Limbe I.
The International Golden Star Awards is an annual event that celebrates excellence and outstanding personalities across various sectors in Cameroon and beyond.
The pathfinder Mayor, Mbwaye Eposi bagged home this award on Friday, July 31, 2026 at Royal Palace Hotel Douala during the watchdog tribune media corporation international golden start award
to promote excellence in various fields.
Reacting after receiving her award, Mayor Eposi thanked the watchdog corporation for the award, while pledging to continue fostering social cohesion and development in Limbe I municipality.
“I’m so impressed that the watchdog tribune media corporation decided to award me this recognition as the best female Mayor for 2026 in Cameroon.” Mbwaye Eposi said.
She pledged to work even more harder so as to consolidate her position as the best female mayor. Mayor Mbwaye Eposi.
Brief inside of watchdog award
More than 50 Laurates under different categories received the awards and it is because of the love they have for their country, being patriots that makes the local man to believe all hope is not lost yet" Dotta Ezekiel, Publisher Watchdog Tribune.
These laureates were selected from a list nominated by the public. Some of them, exceptionally voted for an Award in gold and in silver for their exceptional contributions to peace and national unity in the country.
Thanksgiving
As was expected the Pathfinder mayor was in church on Sunday, August 02, 2026 to present her award to the congregation and to give thanks to God at PC Bonadikombo, Limbe where she is Chairperson.
