Gov. Okalia Bilai Orders Closure of Clandestine Beaches

Southwest Governor Bernard Okalia Bilai toured Wovia Beach and Limbe Port on Tuesday, reaffirming government’s directive to shut down clandestine beaches used for fuel, drug, and arms trafficking along the coast. The Governor of the Southwest Region, Bernard Okalia Bilai, visited Limbe on Tuesday, July 7, 2026. He toured Wovia Beach in Limbe II and Limbe Port at Bota in Limbe I to reaffirm government’s 8-year directive to close all clandestine beaches along the coast. Gov.
