Minister Mounouna Foutsou opens National Unity and Integration Village in Yaounde

Within the framework of the 54th edition of National Day 2026 come May 20, 2026, Youth Affairs and Civic Education Minister, Mounouna Foutsou opened National Unity and Integration Village last May 15, 2026 at the National Museum in Yaounde.
Officially opening the Village under the rain, Minister Mounouna Foutsou urged inhabitants of the nation capital to visit the village and make good business out of it as youth made products were on display at the various stands.

The Youth Affairs and Civic Education boss cut the symbolic ribbon in the presence of the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Gabriel Mbairobe and the Minister of Livestock, Fisheries and Animal Industries, Dr Taiga and partners.
It should be noted that the National Unity and Integration Village is both online and physical at the National Museum stressed on National Unity, the promotion of our culture and living together, the promotion of locally made products, fight against high cost of living, as well as the putting in place of PRONEC REARMORCE.
Highly placed was the Diaspora quarter which stood out as a space for exhibitions, exchanges, training, capacity building, and showcasing activities carried out by the diaspora in Cameroon. There's also a commemoration space for the history of Cameroon's "march towards unity". In this quarter, you can learn about Cameroon's journey to national unity through elements, paintings, and photos showcasing the country's historical evolution, institutions, symbols, and emblems.
One could also see the Virtual Village which is a virtual space dedicated to the population during the 2026 National Unity Week, featuring the following activities:- Broadcasting Unity Festival activities on the virtual village online platforms- Social development: engaging youth to participate in National Unity Week, competition on: – Solving social or other problems in participants' communities – Respecting existing moral rules – Understanding the benefits of harmonious coexistenc- Civic and patriotic quiz- Moral rearmament training- Virtual village animation by young slam poets etc.
