The Limbe City mayor, Paul Efome L.M Ngale has been called upon to live an exemplary life as he fully takes over the Limbe City Council.
During his oath-taking ceremony, Tuesday, April 5, 2022 at the Court of First Instance Limbe, the new city mayor was tasked by the President of the Court, Magistrate Samadi Valery to use his youthful skills to forge the council and municipality ahead. He was asked to shun corrupt practices and other vices, while putting the interest of the council first.
Observing that City mayor Paul Efome is the youngest city mayor in the region, and the country as a whole, Justice Samadi Valery was optimistic that he will deliver the goods.
He called on the newly sworn-in City Mayor to be an exemplary leader and carry out his duties without favoritism, tribal, gender or religious sentiments but rather to endeavor to leave an indelible mark in the development of the municipality during his tenure in office.
City Mayor Paul Efome L.M Ngale was reminded of some of his duties as stipulated by the law including drawing up and preservation of civil status certificates, publication of marriages, preserving, maintaining and administering council property, managing council revenue, supervising all council services, constructing council road network, preparing and proposing of the budget as well as authorising council expenditures, amongst others.
Talking to the press shortly after the ceremony, Limbe City Mayor Paul Efome L.M Ngale said his immediate priority is for the population to feel his impact and for his staff to work under favourable working conditions. He echoed team work as his driving force to accomplish the task ahead of him.
Magistrate Samadi Valery reminded him of some of his duties as stipulated by the law.
The mayor was reminded by the court that sanctions await him in case he breaches his position.

Born December 18, 1978 in Limbe, he obtained his First School Leaving Certificate from Government Primary School, Bota in 1990. From 1992 -1999 he attended Samsung Service where he obtained a Vocational Diploma in electronic maintenance. In 2012 he joined the National Civic Service Agency for Participation and Development.
After his successful training he obtained a voluntary certificate for safety and service defense. He further attended Unics Secondary evening school where he obtained his GCE O level in 2014 and GCE A level in 2015.
From 2015-2016 he attended Pan African School for Development for West Africa where he obtained a professional diploma in human resource management. He further enrolled in the University of Buea where he obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in political science and public administration in 2020. And presently, he is a final year student of Masters in political science. He is married and a father of many children.
