Biya asks Dion Ngute government to organise regional elections in 2019

Cameroon’s President, Paul Biya, Wednesday, January 16, 2019, during a Council of Ministers’ meeting, announced the holding of Municipal, Legislative and Regional elections in 2019, despite the rising insecurity across certain Regions of the country. The meeting staged at the Unity Palace in Yaoundé was the first for 2019 and came 12 days after a partial cabinet reshuffle that brought in a new Prime Minister, Head of Government.
