Airport Stamp Duty income doubles one year after reform

SHANCHO Barely one year after the increment of Airport Stamp Duty from FCFA 10,000 to FCFA 25000, the Ministry of Finance (MINFI) it is reported, has witnessed its annual income from Airport Stamp Duty moving from FCFA 5.2 billion in 2017 to FCFA 11.2 billion in 2018. This statistics as depicted in MINFI’s 2018 Budget Execution Report indicates that an additional FCFA 6 billion was raised from Airport Stamp Duty in 2018 representing over 100% increase compared to revenue collected in 2017.
