The Social Democratic Front, SDF, National Chairman, Hon. Joshua Osih has been combing the northern and eastern parts of the country in a nationwide caravan.
The tour so far has taken the SDF Chairman and his team to several towns and villages in the Far North, North, Adamawa and East Regionswhere they have held town hall meetings with the vibrant and passionate youth of these regions.
According to reports, Osih had enlightening and engaging sessions where he actively listened to the youths and the population on their concerns, aspirations, and the issues that matter most to them.
According to a member of the team, Ndifon Richard, “their voices are the heartbeat of our party, and we are committed to incorporating their valuable input into our manifesto. Many raised concerns on the non- issuance of ID cards, poor education standards that do not prepare them for the job market, lack of employment opportunities, poor access to water and electricity. We also engaged in a productive and enlightening meeting with the district and ward chairpersons in these regions. The discussions were frank, fruitful, and filled with an inspiring spirit of collaboration as we prepare for the upcoming elections. It was truly heartening to witness the dedication and passion of these grassroots leaders, who are the backbone of our party”. Ndifon averred.
During the visits to these regions, Osih and his team dedicated time to “connect with the resilient and courageous individuals who face daily challenges on the streets”. According to the National Executive Committee, NEC, member, “t was a humbling experience to engage in heartfelt conversations and truly listen to their stories and struggles. These unsung heroes embody the spirit of perseverance and resilience, and their voices deserve to be heard. As a party, we are committed to advocating for social justice, equal opportunities, and a brighter future for all. It is through understanding their experiences that we can work together to address the issues they face and create a society that uplifts every individual”.
The team paid courtesy visits to traditional authorities, which according to the team “the encounters were a testament to the deep respect and appreciation we hold for our cultural heritage and the role of traditional leaders in our communities. It was a privilege to engage in meaningful conversations, exchange ideas, and seek their wisdom and guidance. We are committed to fostering strong partnerships and collaboration that will empower our people and preserve our rich traditions. We had the immense pleasure of joining the warm-hearted people of Ray Bouba in celebrating Eid Mubarak. We were honored to receive an invitation from the Lamido of Ray Bouba, and it was a joyous occasion filled with unity, compassion, and blessings. As we gathered together, we embraced the spirit of unity, fostering bonds of friendship and understanding”.
