Genocide is ‘ an international crime involving acts causing serious physical and mental harm with the intent to destroy, partially or entirely, a nation, ethnic, racial or religious group’. The hybrid word, ‘Genocide’ is a combination of the Greek word ‘genos’ and Latin suffix-cide which means, race or people and act of killing, respectively.
