Hopes high as MRC announces possible support for opposition candidate

By Noela EBOB BISONG Following its national council meeting which held on Saturday, September 6, in Yaoundé, the Cameroon Renaissance Movement party, better known by its French acronym MRC, has announced the possible backing of one of the opposition candidates in the October 12 presidential election. According to a statement released by the party’s Acting National President, Mamadou Mota,  two important resolutions came out of the meeting; firstly, the party “will support a candidate coming from a coalition of at least two major parties for the next presidential election”.
